Decided to attack the rear end this evening. Lots of lubricant dripping out of this 28 year old, and ended up with it all over my fingers. After several interruptions I found myself washing my hands every ten minutes like a person with O.C.D. The smell brought back lots of memories.
Only got the bumper stay to remove and then I can split the gearbox. Would have gone out to the garage for a screwdriver but it's cold and wet.
Will almost definitely buy a ball race set for both the gearbox and the axles.
