After reading up on DIY anodising and deciding that caustic soda fumes and sulphuric acid were not things I particularly wanted to play with, I hit google to see if there were any local firms who could do the job and I think I found someone who does bike frames and other parts. Hopefully 30+ small RC car parts aren't too small a job, and I've sent him a mail asking for details and prices etc. Fingers crossed. I managed to find some pics of the stuff he's done and it looks great and very professional.
Planning to get most of the cast aluminium parts done in black and a few bits highlighted in either yellow or red (thinking shocks, and motor cage/rollbar).
Just got to finish stripping and cleaning then with re-assemble to gauge how worn certain parts are and if any need replacing. I would like to keep it as original as possible, but need to be practical.
Still keen on getting the carbon fibre decks.
